Who We Are

The largest children’s hospital-backed housing effort in the United States

Founded in 2008 by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Community Development for All People, Healthy Homes is a nonprofit, affordable housing developer serving Columbus’ South Side and Linden communities. We build safe, high-quality homes for ownership or rent at below-market rates. We also offer exterior home repair services for current homeowners.

This work is part of our mission to create and sustain the vibrant communities we serve, and ensure all families have a stable place to live. Since inception, we have impacted more than 1,000 homes and hundreds of families.

Healthy Homes is the affordable housing prong of Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families (HNHF) initiative, focused on creating better health outcomes in our community.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to creating and sustaining healthy, mixed-income communities through affordable home ownership, rental homes and repair services in Columbus’ South Side and Linden communities.

Our Vision

We believe all families deserve a safe and affordable place to live, so they can focus on the things that matter most – like a child’s education, a parent’s job and their overall health and well-being. Our goal is to provide high-quality homes for ownership or rent by constructing new houses and rehabilitating vacant, distressed properties.
