Rental Homes

We develop single-family and multi-family rental homes in Columbus’ South Side and Linden communities. These units are reserved for families at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI), with some reserved for families at 50% of AMI.

Areas We Serve

South Side

Properties are located throughout the 43205, 43206 and 43207 zip codes, and include single-family homes and duplexes with two to three bedrooms.

Linden

Properties are located throughout 43211 and 43224.

How to Qualify

Income Requirements:

  • Have household income that is at least two times the monthly rent on the unit you are applying for. For example, if the asking rent is $900/month, the applicant will need to show pre-tax income of $1,800/month.
  • Have a Section 8 housing choice voucher in hand (issued by Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority) and income at least equal to $300 per month ($3,600 annually).

Background Check Requirements:

  • Felonies, including but not limited to, murder, rape, robbery, burglary, weapons charge, gang-related activity, domestic abuse, arson or any felony drug charge, will disqualify the household for tenancy.
  • More than three misdemeanors of any kind within the past seven years will be grounds for rejection.

Credit Check Requirements:

  • Previous landlords will be contacted for rental history information. No outstanding balances to prior landlord for rent and/or damages will be accepted.
  • Must be able to put utilities in your name with no outstanding balances owed to utility companies.
  • No evictions within the last five years.
